Migraine Through Psychosomatic Foundations

When the body speaks through migraine — are you ready to understand what it is trying to tell you?

Migraine is not just a headache. If you live with migraines, you probably know the feeling of planning your life around the next attack. You have likely changed your diet, tried different therapeutic approaches, and learned to recognize triggers. You may already know what can provoke an attack, but you still do not know why your body reacts in exactly that way. That is where the psychosomatic approach begins. This education offers a different approach to migraine — one that connects nervous system functioning, emotions, life experiences, and how the body responds to long-term strain. If you want to explore the foundations of psychosomatics through an accredited program that uses migraine as a starting point for understanding the connection between body and psyche, this education is for you.

Why does my body react in exactly this way?

Although modern medicine offers various options for relieving symptoms, many still remain without an answer to that question. That is where the psychosomatic approach begins. This education does not view migraine exclusively as a neurological symptom, but as a complex process in which nervous system functioning, emotions, life experiences, and how the body responds to chronic stress intertwine. Understanding this process and the connection between the body and what we hide and carry within us is the beginning of a different relationship with your own health — and, in turn, freedom from migraine.

Why a psychosomatic approach to migraine?

Psychosomatics views a person as a unified whole in which body, emotions, nervous system, and life experiences are interconnected. It does not deny medicine, nor does it claim that all symptoms are of psychological origin. The psychosomatic approach broadens the understanding of symptoms by also considering how chronic stress, emotional burdens, learned patterns, and nervous system regulation affect the body. Through this education, migraine becomes a starting point for understanding the connection between body and psyche. By exploring psychosomatics, you arrive at answers to why you have migraine at all — and how to free yourself from it.

What you will learn

This education is designed to give you more than theoretical knowledge. The goal is not to memorize terms and models, but to understand the processes behind the psychosomatic approach and apply what you learn in your life or professional work.
  • understand the basic principles of psychosomatics
  • view migraine through the biopsychosocial model and understand why a single symptom never exists apart from the person experiencing it
  • understand the role of the autonomic nervous system in the onset and maintenance of symptoms
  • recognize the connection between emotions, behavioral patterns, and physical reactions
  • distinguish external triggers from deeper psychosomatic patterns
  • view the person as a whole, not only through the symptom
  • learn practical tools used in psychosomatic work
  • apply acquired knowledge in everyday life or professional work with other people

What the education looks like

The program is conceived as a blend of expert knowledge, personal experience, and practical work. Each module is carefully designed to connect theory with concrete examples and experiential learning. This way, you will not only acquire new knowledge, but gradually connect it with your own experience or professional practice. Psychosomatics is not a field that can be learned only by reading or listening to lectures. Understanding arises when you connect theory with how the human body functions and with the experiences that shape our response patterns.

The program includes:

  • expert lectures
  • case studies
  • guided psychosomatic exercises
  • work in smaller groups
  • group reflections
  • pattern analysis
  • Q&A sessions
  • practical examples from client work
ONLINELIVEINTERACTIVE

About the educator

Ivana Ćetković

Psychosomatic educator, author of the program "Migraine Through Psychosomatic Foundations" and founder of the Ivana Inside Out brand.

My professional calling did not come from books — it came from life. For more than twenty-seven years, I lived with migraines. During that time, I went through numerous specialist examinations, diagnostic procedures, and different therapeutic approaches. Like many people living with chronic symptoms, I often felt I was treating the consequence while the question of cause remained unanswered. That search led me to psychosomatics. Through years of personal work, education, and professional development, I began to understand the connection between body, emotions, nervous system, and life patterns. That experience changed not only my view of migraine, but also how I see people and health today. Today I connect my personal experience with expert knowledge to bring the psychosomatic approach closer to others and provide space for understanding the processes that often hide behind symptoms. I believe education should not offer ready-made answers, but knowledge that enables people to ask different questions and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

Professional education and certifications

  • Accredited psychosomatic educator – International Association of Coaching Institutes (ICI), Berlin
  • Wingwave® Coach
  • Mindfulness education
  • Continuous professional development in psychosomatics, nervous system work, and integrative approaches
  • Institute for Applied Neurobiology

I believe the body is not our enemy. I believe every symptom has its story. And I believe understanding is often the first step toward change.
